We expect the main arena of our discipleship and ministry will be our household, school, workplace and neighborhood. At the same time, as a congregation we can link together to en-courage, support and challenge one another in living into God’s vision for the world where relationships are peaceful and just.
Walking wet
Faith-in-action is about partnering with God and our neighbors to mend, heal and transform the world. This is the work we are called to in our baptisms. It is our vocation as Christians. Frederick Buechner says: vocation (the place God calls you to) is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet. Substitute passion or bliss for gladness. Either way, it will lead you to your vocation where you can share your gifts.
What are you passionate about?
Perhaps you care deeply about hospitality to immigrants, or providing housing, or ending world hunger, or making quilts for refugees, or caring for the environment, or ending your addiction to consuming, or supporting kids and parents, or caring for elders, or . . .
Together we can support each other in our discipleship and find ways to live out our commitments.

Immanuel Community Services (ICS)
We don’t have to go far to find opportunities to serve, volunteer, and companion.
ICS is our own homegrown not-for-profit that partners with people in need in our neighborhood and in greater Seattle. Learn all about ICS, volunteer, and spread the word!
